Monstera plants develop substantial root systems and are sensitive to the combination of dense media, oversized containers, poor drainage, and overly frequent watering. A coarse potting mix creates larger pore spaces that allow water to move through the container while leaving room for air around the roots.

How to Use

Watering After Repotting

Do not water on a fixed calendar. Check the root zone and water when the top 1–2 inches of the mix are dry and the container feels lighter. Water thoroughly, allow complete drainage, and then wait until the mix reaches the appropriate dryness again.

Drying time changes with pot size, light, temperature, humidity, season, root density, and container material. A large decorative pot in low light may remain wet much longer than a smaller nursery pot in brighter conditions.

Which Size Should I Choose?

The estimates below are approximate. Actual use depends on the root-ball size, pot shape, and how much old media is removed.

This blend contains natural plant-based and mineral growing-media components. Slight moisture, mild earthy aroma, condensation inside the package, color variation, particle variation, and natural settling during shipping can occur. Gently loosen and redistribute the mix before use.
